Ambassadors will help raise awareness, engage communities, and influence policy around environmental concerns. The program is structured so that participants may choose their level of engagement. This flexible system allows a diverse range of participants to stay engaged with the program.
Level 1: Supporters (Ambassadors in Training) Commitment: Monthly Meetings Supporters are just beginning their advocacy journey and play a key role in spreading awareness and growing CTLCV’s reach. As a Level 1 Ambassador, you will:
Stay Connected – Receive early updates on CTLCV events, legislation, and ways to take action.
Spread the Word – Share CTLCV content and action alerts on social media and help activate your community.
Show Up – If available, attend local events and meetings to represent CTLCV (with support from other ambassadors or CTLCV staff)
Level 2: Members (Active Ambassadors) Commitment: Monthly Members actively participate in CTLCV’s advocacy efforts, helping on the ground and online. Along with Level 1 responsibilities, you will:
Volunteer at Events – Assist at CTLCV tables, distribute materials, and engage with the public at community events.
Join or Host Action Hours – Assist in organizing conversations around various environmental topics.
Submit Testimony (and/or other Legislative Actions) – Share your voice by writing or presenting testimony on key environmental legislation.
Level 3: Leaders (Advanced Ambassadors) Commitment: Biweekly Meetings Leaders take on strategic roles, guiding others and representing CTLCV in high-level advocacy. In addition to Level 1 and 2 tasks, you will:
Lead the Way – Represent CTLCV at key community events.
Facilitate Community Engagement – Organize and lead action hours or other gatherings.
Influence Your Neighbors – Utilize your resources (digital and physical) to communicate CTLCV efforts, including events, action alerts, and more.
Mentor Others – Support new ambassadors, helping them grow into effective advocates.
