Middletown's premier art event returns this year from October 5th - 13th!
Presented by the Middletown Art Walk, Chispa CT, Connecticut League of Conservation Voters, North End Action Team, CHEER, Mac 650 Gallery, and the Middletown Green Community Center, and the Rockfall Foundation, the Climate Action Art Walk will showcase artwork reflective of community environmental concerns. Pieces will be displayed at local galleries, eateries, and cultural centers.

October 5th from 5 PM - 8 PM: Climate Art Paint-N-Sip at MAC 650 October 12th from 5 PM - 8 PM: Climate Art Walk Film, Talk & Socializing October 13th from 12 PM - 3 PM: Mingle & Champingle at CHC Rooftop Garden
ATTEND THE ART WALK
The Art Walk is free to attend and enjoy! While advance registration is not required, your RSVP allows us to better plan for refreshments and receptions at each location. Register now for early access to the Art Walk map and additional promotional items.
Local artists are encourage to submit up to three (3) pieces. Acceptable mediums include paintings, drawings, photographs, and poetry. We especially welcome work by young artists.
Every submission MUST highlight climate change, climate action, environmental transformation, struggles related to environmental justice, or the continuing harm to indigenous populations.
Submissions can be dropped off at the MAC 650 Gallery (650 Main St, Middletown, CT) on the following dates:
Wednesday, October 2nd from 10 AM - 3 PM
Thursday, October 3rd from 3 PM - 8 PM
Friday, October 4th from 10 AM - 3 PM
Submissions must be ready to hang with wires and D-rings only. Sawtooth hangers, etc. are not permitted and your work may not be accepted.
Every submission must include:
Title
Artist's Name
Price
Short description of the work
Artist's Biography of no more than three (3) sentences
Additionally, artists may include the media, medium, and year at their discretion.
Artists must also note whether the work and any proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Art Walk in full or in part. Proceeds from partial donations will be split 30% to the Art Walk and 70% to the artist. Works not being offered for sale may be admitted to the Art Walk for a $20 donation to reserve gallery space.
Artists are responsible for collecting any unsold art after the conclusion of the Art Walk. Unsold pieces will NOT be mailed. Artists may elect to donate unsold works for use in future Art Walks. Artists may collect their work on October 13th from 5 PM - 7 PM. Additional pickups time on October 14th are to be determined.
By submitting work to the Climate Action Art Walk, artists agree to allow the use of their work in both online and print promotional materials.
