Approximately 82% of students reported during the post-test that their knowledge on the environment was good to great, compared to only 50% of students during the pre-test – an increase of 32% (rounded to the nearest percentage).
Post-test results indicated that approximately 82% of students reported their understanding of government at the local level is good to great, compared to 60% of students during the pre-test – an increase of 22% (rounded to the nearest percentage).
By the end of the CHISPA program, 100% of students reported having visited City Hall, compared to only 40% of students at the start of the program – an increase of 60% (rounded to the nearest percentage).

By the end of the CHISPA program, 100% of students reported having visited the State Capital, compared to only 70% of students at the start of the program – an increase of 30% (rounded to the nearest percentage).

By the end of the CHISPA program, 91% of students were able to accurately describe what environmental justice was, compared to only 50% of students at the start of the program – an increase of 41% (rounded to the nearest percentage).

By the end of the CHISPA program, 100% of students reported having met with an elected official, compared to only 20% of students at the start of the program – an increase of 80% (rounded to the nearest percentage). 
By the end of the CHISPA program, 82% of students were able to accurately explain the importance of community organizing, compared to only 66% of students at the start of the program – an increase of 16% (rounded to the nearest percentage).
By the end of the CHISPA program, 73% of students reported reaching out to elected officials about an issue of concern, compared to 0% of students at the start of the program – an increase of 73% (rounded to the nearest percentage).
By the end of the CHISPA program, 91% of students were able to accurately describe the importance of connecting with elected officials, compared to only 45% of students at the start of the program – an increase of 46% (rounded to the nearest percentage).
